Hello! If you’re here reading this, I presume that it is because you’re curious about me. Well, you’re on the right page!
My name, as you may have inferred, is Arianna McKee. I’m currently 35 (as of January 2024, for future-proofing purposes), and live in Central Pennsylvania, surrounded by nature.
So what can I say, internet traveler?
Like many, I’m a fairly busy person with a lot of interests and components that make me…well, me. Some of those include writing poetry and working on my various novel projects; playing competitive Magic: the Gathering across multiple formats; gardening and hiking; listening to an eclectic mix of music ranging from Touhou remixes to obscure metal subgenres to Celtic Woman; watching anime, going to cons, and cosplaying; and working on scholarship primarily focused around the process of mythopoesis, especially as determined by different modes of transmission. I also play a lot of board and video games!
Those interests and others have (or will have) pages dedicated to them on my website, so if you’re curious about my thoughts on a specific band or game, you can go there to read about them!
I’ve held a number of jobs throughout my life so far, but as yet haven’t found anything that I would describe as a career. Some of that is a side effect of the area I live in: rural Pennsylvania, while gorgeous, is not exactly a locus of job availability. To that end, I’ve turned to the internet for opportunity. If you’re here for career-related reasons, I’d like to direct you to my resume/CV and portfolio sections, although you are certainly welcome to read any of my other areas and get to know me better!
Aesthetically, I’m a very elvish sort of person (in the Tolkien sense, not in the Christmas toymaker sense). I love the moon and lunar themes, and black and silver is my favorite color combination, although I also like to add red or green, and I have a guilty pleasure love of black and pink, too.
My goals include being able to find a career path that I enjoy and that brings meaning to my life, to finish at least most of my novels and get them published, to find a significant other at some point down the road, and to be able to one day afford a cabin or a yurt out in the woods. Beyond that, I’m a simple woman: I just want to be happy and for those around me to be as well 🙂
